As Senior Product Owner, you will be responsible for facilitating the day-to-day activities of multiple scrum teams in our Product Development organization. You will work closely with the global Product Managers and Designers to define product backlog and facilitate feature delivery work that aligns with business goals for the local scrum teams. You will also facilitate requirement discussions and negotiate optimal solutions, make product design decisions that align with business direction, and ensure effective communication between Scrum teams and Product Management. You will work closely with Product Managers and Engineering leaders globally to build product roadmaps and follow up on roadmap execution. You’ll become a domain expert, proposing domain improvements and helping to raise team members’ business sense. 

 

 

This role focuses on Platform Security and Accreditation. Working closely with both Security and our product teams, you will establish, prioritize, and maintain a backlog of security and compliance controls, building incrementally towards internal and external audit goals. 

 

 

Primary responsibilities will include: 

  • Identifying product issues and influencing decisions to improve product capabilities 
  • Identifying product gaps, generating new ideas, and influencing investment decisions to improve product capabilities and drive down costs 
  • Working with technology and business partners to prioritize capabilities and product backlog in accordance with the vision, strategy, business values, dependencies, and technical risk 
  • Gathering performance testing requirements 
  • Working with testing teams to automate test scenarios and environments for performance testing 
  • Generating test summary reports for executive-level consumption 
  • Participating in story mapping meetings and bringing the product perspective to these meetings 
  • Facilitating development-level reviews of test plans and results 
  • Prioritizing performance issues for the development and operations teams 
  • Working with all stakeholders and collaborating on the product development backlog 
  • Evaluating data and insights for comprehensive strategy and initiative planning 
  • Establishing timelines and product benchmarks based on established team velocity and priority 
  • Using data and analytics as a basis for road mapping 
  • Negotiating and influencing priority between stakeholders to ensure the highest quality product is delivered 
  • Consolidating Epic data into user stories and other necessary product requirements 
  • Establishing initiatives and aligning with cross-functional product and organizational goals 
  • Collaborating with Product Design, Product Management, Scrum team, and other stakeholders to establish timeline workflows, goals, and detailed requirements 

 

 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • At least 5 years of experience as a product owner, business analyst, or in a related field 
  • Proficient with Agile/Waterfall development methodologies 
  • A technical understanding of products and up to date on industry standards and best practices 
  • A deep understanding of the product lifecycle and software development lifecycle processes 
  • Ability to pay precise attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable working with multiple teams that are in-house, remote, and internationally located 

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience as a product owner, business analyst, or in a related field 
  • Familiarity with security and privacy standards – NIST 800-53, ISO 27k, GDPR, FedRAMP, etc.
  • Certification for Pragmatic Marketing or Product Ownership
  • Experience with Agile tools like JIRA/Confluence, Portfolio, Pivotal, etc.
  • Experience performing customer analysis
  • Experience identifying and communicating cross-functional dependencies
  • Experience with continuous integration with performance testing
