Anthology K12 Professional Services works with clients to deliver technology and consulting solutions that address a wide variety of business and technology challenges. Our Project Managers and Delivery Consultants deliver many standard and custom solutions that extend, enhance, and integrate Anthology’s solutions across the client education enterprise. This team works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, interfacing directly with clients daily, often on multiple concurrent engagements.
 


As Client Project Manager, you will be responsible for directing and monitoring all activities for a sizable project portfolio of small to large, low- to high-risk projects from initiation to delivery.

 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Being accountable for the overall performance and delivery of defined scopes of work as indicated by customer satisfaction, quality of products and services provided, and level of profitability attained
  • Serving as primary customer contact and managing the overall company customer relationships to ensure responsiveness to customer needs
  • Developing project schedules and documentation
  • Defining and assigning work to consultants on the project
  • Monitoring and controlling work in progress for technical adequacy and alignment with project requirements
  • Providing active assistance to the project team to meet schedules and resolve complex technical or customer requirements
  • Providing consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, significant issue management and resolution reporting, and communicating with clients and internal teams
  • Establishing metrics and monitoring progress to assure contract compliance, customer satisfaction, and attainment of company commitments and objectives, reporting that progress to appropriate levels of management and customers
  • Adhering to established delivery methodology, quality standards, and best practices in project management
  • Developing strong customer contacts and client management techniques to help define solutions for customer needs, leading to potential new business
  • This role requires 25% travel to remote and onsite client engagements

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Light experience in project management of systems implementations and integrations, including direct external client interaction and working with project teams of functional and technical specialists
  • Strong people/team management skills and ability to provide direction to others as a project lead and/or functional/technical specialist
  • Exceptional attention to detail, drive, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage expectations effectively
  • Comfortable working in geographically distributed virtual teams
  • Familiarity with building relationships with internal and external constituencies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong client relationship skills and ability to partner with technical and project leaders from client organizations to drive overall solutions, manage issues, and facilitate schedule/scope conversations

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • PMP or equivalent certification
  • Experience in K12 education industry.
  • A background in leading projects that involve a diverse set of technologies, including web-based systems, SaaS environments, and enterprise-level systems supporting critical needs of clients
