The Senior Data Extraction Developer will develop and maintain ETL processes and tooling in support of Anthology system data migration efforts.

 

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Interface and working with Business Stakeholders to understand the business and functional requirements to develop ETL processes in support
  • Developing application specific logical and physical data models
  • Playing a leadership role in the design, implementation and development of ETL processes
  • Defining the strategy and design for creation of a Data Warehouse Data Quality strategy
  • Managing all aspects of the data architecture, including models, data staging and ETL framework
  • Collaborating with other cross-functional IT software/data personnel on development of EDW components
  • Establishing standards for data warehouse reporting technology, as well as design, development, implementation, and maintenance processes

 

 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science, computer programming or related field
  • 2+ years higher education or SIS/ERP experience
  • 5+ years of Data Architecture experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with relational and dimensional modeling practices
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Microsoft BI Stack tools (SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)
  • Background or familiarity with Data Governance, Metadata Management, Taxonomy Management, Master Data Management and Data Security
  • Expertise in Data Warehouse design and best practices
  • Team Skills: adaptable, collaboration, creative, negotiation, communication, presentation, and group dynamics
  • Professional skills: Problem solving, SQL programming, Systems Analysis and Design, Program Analysis and Design
