Raw data is inherently not consumable; the data scientist transforms this data into actionable summaries and models that empower our member campuses to make data-informed decisions. Additionally, the data scientist provides various company teams with evidence, rooted in data, to strengthen business decisions. Without Data Scientists, the informing power and action potential of unmined data never impacts decisions.
The Data Scientist is responsible for collaborating with and supporting our product-development teams with insights gained from analyzing data from multiple sources. The Data Scientist will gain experience using internal and institutional data to find opportunities for product and process optimization and will also learn how to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Additionally, the Data Scientist will grow in their ability to build and deploy statistical modeling—using a variety of methods, algorithms, and technical tools. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering how to uncover solutions hidden in data sets while working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.
