Anthology’s Corporate IT organization manages the enterprise technology that supports our employees across the globe.  They are focused on enterprise applications development and support, enterprise architecture, operations, infrastructure, and support.  This team works with stakeholders from Finance, Sales, HR, Marketing, and other internal business groups to drive initiatives and ensure needs are met. As IT Support Technician, you will support end user hardware and software and be primarily focused on previsioning new and used hardware for end users. You will be responsible for staying current with, learning, and applying new technologies as well as applying existing knowledge to ensure system reliability. You’ll need to be highly motivated and customer service focused.

 

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Troubleshooting a broad range of issues common on desktop computers
  • Imaging, packaging, and shipping hardware for end users
  • Analyzing documentation and providing recommendations for improvements to documentation
  • Reviewing support tickets and other data to determine depth and breadth of troubleshooting

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Familiarity with desktop computer troubleshooting skills; ability to solve problems and determine root cause of issues
  • Minimum of 3-6 months of technical support/troubleshooting
  • Windows and Mac technical experience required; Linux strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of PC Imagining Software
  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
  • Available to work 2nd shift hours
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced environment
  • Effective handling of multiple critical client support situations and ability to effectively communicate with senior management
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and demonstrate problem solving and resourcefulness in obtaining information
  • Ability to quickly assimilate complex problems and develop a resolution strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Microsoft Certified, or other technical certification
  • Associates degree in MIS/Computer Science or equivalent experience
