Currently, Anthology is seeking a Vice President of Global Product Development reporting to the Chief Technology Officer

 

 

The Senior Technical Leader will be responsible for the technical vision and development of our Enterprise Operations Products, including Student Information System, Financial Aid and Regulatory, and Finance and HR Solution.

 

 

This person will work cross-functionally with close collaboration with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Implementation and Support.  The ideal candidate will promote and instill a DevOps culture across the Enterprise Operations product teams with a major focus on quality, completeness, usability, and execution.

 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, managing and mentoring a team of 200+ developers, and related personnel
  • Product and release planning and overview of assignment of tasks and deliverables driving ownership and accountability
  • Product Development lifecycle management from vision to launch of all Enterprise Operations products
  • Leading, defining, representing, and communicating product plans to all stakeholders
  • Assessing product development process and enhanced opportunities for DevOps alignment and continuous improvement
  • Developing and manage budgets, forecasts, and metrics
  • Ownership of the product release plan/cycle and communication with C-level staff and other stakeholders both strategic and tactical
  • Driving innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
  • Building high functioning Global teams and processes to deliver products that meet and exceed the needs of customers
  • Evangelist of Enterprise Operations Products internally and through participation in conferences, discussions with thought leaders and market analysts.

 

 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • B.S. and an advanced degree in a technical field
  • 15+ years of experience as a product leader
  • Strategic & adaptive problem solver with experience in product development strategy and operations
  • Experienced in direct communication and interaction with C and Board level Executives
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational issues with (portfolio management, risk management, globalization)
  • Able to formulate and implement global strategies for product development
  • Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating that into the product development process
  • Successfully implemented data-driven processes to turn a vision into an actionable product plan
  • People leader with demonstrated success in leading and mentoring the research, design, and development teams
  • Strong product development management skills and attention to detail
  • Understand and drive implementation of the user experience and design
  • Direct experience with SDLC tools and processes and collaboration software
  • Able to distill product roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to key customers, partners, and internal constituents
  • Drive product analytics to understand feature usage, comprehension, and optimization
  • Excellent verbal and oral communication skills
  • Extensive experience in Cloud technologies, specifically AWS and Azure, including design, deployment, and optimization

 

 

 Preferred skills/qualifications: 

  • Knowledge of Higher Education processes and products (desired, but not required)
