Anthology is looking for a talented, driven, and entrepreneurial subject matter expert to join our team, focusing on Academic Innovation and Online Learning.

 

 

The Strategic Consultant will represent Anthology through conference presentations, webinars, onsite, and executive conversations. Our goal is to be thought-leaders who educate the market on critical issues pertaining to teaching and learning, institutional strategy, student success, technology, and data and analytics.

 

 

This role will support the sales team by researching, developing, and delivering content that increases brand awareness, builds market demand, generates leads, and supports sales efforts for our Academic Innovation team.

This role will operate under the Academic Innovation team reporting to the Vice President, Solutions Sales.

 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Content development
    • Researching topics of strategic importance to institution leaders through literature reviews, executive interviews, and quantitative analysis
    • Synthesizing research into Power Point presentations with compelling narratives
    • Develop associated short-form (blog) and long-form (white paper) content
  • Industry presentations
    • Delivering webinars and onsites to prospective clients for the purposes of advancing thought leadership, building brand, generating leads, and furthering sales
    • Engaging directly with institutional leaders and their teams via expert calls
    • Sales support
      • Joining sales calls to showcase thought leadership, industry expertise, and product capabilities
      • Identifying and passing along sales leads to the Regional Sales Managers
      • Helping develop training and outreach guides to enable sales
      • Contributing to the development of marketing and product strategy
      • Gathering competitive insights to inform positioning and pricing strategy
      • Working with Marketing and Product Management teams to develop case studies and collateral
      • Speaking and writing in a compelling and accurate way about our history, positioning, point of difference, capabilities and services, client roster, experience, etc.This role requires approximately 30% travel

 

 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree
  • 7-8+ years professional experience working at a higher education institution
  • Intellectually curious, quick study, creative, attentive to detail, self-motivated
  • Able to teach complex ideas in verbal, written, and graphical form
  • Superior verbal and presentation skills, including crafting slide decks
  • Skilled writer with both short-form (blog) and long-form (white paper) content
  • Independent performer with the ability to take ownership and drive projects from beginning to end, working with multiple groups effectively and on multiple projects concurrently
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent relationship building and collaboration skills
  • Desired subject matter expertise:
  • Strong understanding of online learning, faculty instruction, and student success best practices and technology
  • Higher education enrollment trends, especially trends in the community college market
  • In-depth understanding of education industry
  • Familiarity with product strategy, market positioning, or brand management

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications: 

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate in any field
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, quantitative reasoning, and telling stories with data
  • Prior experience with management consulting, marketing, and/or business development
  • Prior experience with corporate partnerships and/or executive education
