As a Director of Product Operations for Anthology’s Product Organization, you will deliver outcomes across several of the company’s top strategic initiatives, working directly with the VP of Product Operations and the Product Leadership Team.  This position is vital to the success several company initiatives including building a unified product operations function, managing our product lifecycle processes, leading strategic planning and alignment, and driving Product Operations best practices.  This is an exciting opportunity to shape the long-term results of the company and the Higher Education market. This position reports to the Vice President, Product Operations.

 

 

Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Product Operations
    • Leading initiatives driving product operations and streamlining product lifecycle process
    • Identifying and driving process improvement initiatives to increase collaboration, enhance processes, and streamline efforts across the Product Organization
    • Collaborating with leadership and teams across the entire company to ensure alignment, transparency, and progress to the desired outcomes
    • Partnering with business leaders to report to leadership, stakeholders, and teams across the organization
    • Managing project risks and proactively engage teams in mitigation
  • Leading Organizational Transformation and Change:
    • Leading organizational operational planning process
    • Providing change management leadership for transformation initiatives
  • Strategic Initiatives:
    • Driving key initiatives that carry strategic significance to the company and need cross-functional leadership
    • Guiding the Product Organization through system implementation, infusing industry best practices
    • Serving as a project evangelist to help drive awareness, alignment, and progress throughout the organization
    • Driving accountability for results through identifying, measuring, and reporting on key performance metrics enable visibility and results
  • Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with Product Management to identify the current portfolio and our place in the market and lifecycle, develop go forward recommendations, and steward evaluation and execution of go to market and end-of-life activities
  • Strategic Analysis: Identifying and/or evaluate opportunities that advance the company’s goals

 

 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • 3+ years Product Management and/or Product Ownership experience or relevant work experience
  • Demonstrated passion for operational excellence; identifying and implementing best practices and process improvements
  • Organizational change management experience driving positive change across an organization
  • Adaptive leader and forward thinker who can assess situations and recommend solutions
  • Strong analytical skills to identify data needs, analyze results, and identify opportunities to improve
  • Commitment to outcomes over output
  • Experience leading sizable projects consisting of matrixed, experienced, cross-functional team members
  • Incredibly client focused ensuring outcomes deliver a positive client experience
  • Superior communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, working with executives and driving them to reach consensus and act on organizational decisions
  • Experience using influence and leadership skills to deliver results

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • MBA or related Master's Degree 
  • PMP certification
  • Change Management certification
  • Previous experience in EdTech
  • Advanced acumen in educational market and/or Edtech industry trends
