As a Competitive Intelligence Manager, you will be a high-impact team player who analyzes the Ed Tech market, institutional challenges, vendor solutions, and messaging to showcase to the market how Anthology solutions and services provide unique value and stand out from the competition. In this role, you will assess and gather competitive intelligence insights from a variety of sources. You will use your insights to better equip the sales and services team on positioning Anthology’s market-differentiating solutions. In addition, you will work alongside the product management organization to aid in market understanding and development prioritizations. As a part of the product organization, you’ll get to learn from and contribute to a team of bright, motivated individuals who are passionate about EdTech and excited to take Anthology into the future of education technology.

 

 

Specific responsibilities Include:

  • Researching and gathering data about Anthology’s competition from a variety of sources including websites, analyst reports, social media, press and customer surveys
  • Analyzing individual vendor’s strengths and weaknesses to better position and differentiate Anthology’s solutions in the market and in client conversations
  • Partnering with Product Marketing Managers and Sales Enablement teams to create competitive battlecards and sales training at both a high-level/introductory and detailed technical level
  • Providing regular updates to sales, professional services and product executives on market developments and updates via sales flashes, field newsletters, and regular training sessions
  • Participating in sales calls as requested by field sales and advice on deal-specific competitive strategies
  • Analyzing competitor’s go-to-market strategies, packaging and pricing to optimize Anthology’s competitive advantages and recommend new ways to adjust our go-to-market approach

 

 

The Candidate: 

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Marketing or related field
  • Excellent research and analytical skills
  • Strong personal work ethic and problem solver
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-oriented environment
  • Self-starter with strong sense of accountability
  • Passion for Higher Education, Student Success, and EdTech solutions/services

 

 

Required skills/qualifications: 

  • Experience in Higher Education, either non-profit or for-profit
  • Familiarity with Student Information Systems (SIS), Learning Management Systems (LMS) or Client Relationship Management (CRM)
