Anthology’s IT Security Program leads the engineering and operation of technology to monitor and enhance the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all corporate information systems and products. We are building a team based on frictionless interactions with our partners across the corporation leveraging transparency, trust, and collaboration to elevate Blackboard security through partnerships.

 

 

As Senior Application Security Engineer, you will be report to the Application Security Lead and be responsible for collaborating with a global development team in researching, developing, and deploying secure applications. You’ll act as a hands-on engineer and grow your skills, seizing opportunities to be responsible for significant programmatic initiatives. You’ll engage in analyzing security vulnerabilities in cloud applications using industry recognized toolsets. You will also have opportunities to assess the effectiveness of tools and processes and provide recommendations on changes.

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing code and applications for security vulnerabilities and compliance with standards for cloud-based applications
  • Knowledge of application security with focus on OWASP Top 10
  • Hands-on experience leveraging common industry-standard toolsets for development, testing, and code analysis
  • Ability to write code and scripts
  • Ability to use developer tools
  • Working knowledge of application security architecture
  • Experience supporting an organization using development operations concepts
  • Must be a US Citizen

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Knowledge of installation/configuration of tools in cloud environments
  • Experience working with global teams and projects
  • Experience developing policies and procedures
  • Experience leading security projects and initiatives
  • Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines
