The Anthology Integrations & Developer Relations organization is looking for an experienced EdTech leader. This team operates in a high-energy, dynamic environment that focuses on providing technology and innovations to drive business objectives that focus on institutional and student success. The ideal applicant will be able to lead through example and thrive in a highly collaborative workplace and actively engage in the development process. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, managing, and mentoring a team of architects, developers, and related personnel
  • Acting as a key senior leader in driving forward Anthology’s technical integration strategy and delivery
  • Assisting in defining, representing, and communicating technical integration strategy to all stakeholders
  • Actively assessing enhancement opportunities relative to product integrations
  • Driving innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership, decisive action, and execution
  • Technical product planning and assignment of tasks and deliverables
  • Becoming an evangelist and participating in blogs, conferences, and discussions with thought leaders and market analysts
  • Communicating strategic technical concepts to senior leadership
  • Participating in pre-sales activities like customer presentations and contributing to RFPs
  • Leading technical workshops and design sessions with customers and partners
  • Assisting with and reviewing technical designs
  • Ensuring internal development guidelines are understood and applied by the development team
  • Proposing technologies and tooling to improve product’s overall value and reduce technical debt
  • Direct and result oriented collaboration with Product Managers, Product Development and Architecture, Professional Services, Cloud Services, Partnerships, and Client Support

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in a technical field
  • At least 10 years of experience as a technology leader
  • Deep knowledge of integration frameworks and practices
  • Experience working with standards organizations and incorporating standards into an integration strategy
  • Experience designing and developing highly scalable cloud solutions
  • Customer/user-centric mindset with the capability of translating customer and product management requirements into design and implementation
  • Able to distill product and architectural concepts and roadmaps into digestible and relevant presentations to stakeholders, customers, and prospects
  • Able to formulate and implement global technology strategies for product integrations
  • Experienced in presenting complex technical problems to a non-technical audience

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of experience in EdTech and the EdTech ecosystem
  • Knowledge of different higher-education standards such as Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI), Edu API, and PESC
  • Master's or advanced degree in a technical field
