Are you an exceptional writer and storyteller with a passion for brand building? A strategic thinker with a knack for crafting and pitching compelling concepts? If you have a strong grasp of how brand voice helps distinguish a brand and a desire to help shape that voice, you could be the right candidate for the Senior Brand Manager position at Anthology.

We are seeking an experienced writer and creative leader to join our in-house brand team. The successful candidate will lead a team of copywriters and help elevate the Anthology brand by guiding our personality and voice; driving content strategy; and ensuring clear, concise, and consistent communication across a broad range of channels —website, ads, sales material, email, video scripts, case studies, and more, with a strong focus on demand gen. This role requires minimal travel (a few engagements per year).

Specific responsibilities include:

• Facilitating strategic conversations on project goals, positioning, and content strategy with stakeholders
• Idea generating and conceptualizing creative campaigns and working with the creative team to execute
• Establishing, and educating on, brand voice playbook and guidelines
• Partnering with global demand gen team to analyze, test, and optimize content performance
• Overseeing delivery expectations in terms of both timeframe and level of copywriting and creative standards; providing day-to-day leadership and management that inspires content innovation and helps bring our brand to life

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

• Minimum eight years’ experience delivering strategic, creative content in an ad agency or marketing firm, or as part of an in-house marketing team, preferably with a B2b focus
• Ability to share a strong portfolio of writing samples
• Highly developed understanding of brand strategy and management, and brand voice in particular
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills - especially adept in pitch scenarios
• Very strong grasp of grammar and AP style
• Ability to lead a team in a virtual environment
• Strategic thinking skills with ability to conceptualize campaign initiatives
  
  

Preferred skills/qualifications:

• Experience working with higher ed or EdTech
• Solid understanding of best practices in email communications and SEO
