Anthology is looking for a .NET Software Engineer with web development skills. This position is for a skilled and experienced candidate, who will be responsible for the designing, coding, and unit testing of subsystems and system components based on requirements specification and constraints. The ideal candidate will have experience building multi-tiered systems with Web-facing components that are mission critical, fault tolerant, monitored, and have high availability with horizontal scaling. 



Specific responsibilities will include:

  • Determining feasibility by analyzing problem definition and requirements
  • Developing and implementing robust software solutions
  • Gaining understanding of impacted areas
  • Participating in all phases of product development from concept through development, unit testing, demonstration
  • Actively participating in SCRUM ceremonies, providing constructive suggestions and inputs that help refine acceptance criteria
  • Working with the Product Owner and team members to ensure delivery of high-quality software
  • Providing constructive suggestions to eliminate waste and improve team performance 



The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical discipline or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • At least 2-4 years of relevant experience 
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • Good experience in full stack .NET and web application development using:
    • C#
    • .NET MVC
    • Web API, oData
    • JavaScript, jQuery
    • HTML5, CSS, Boot Strap
  • Working knowledge of SQL Server including SQL queries, stored procedures, and views
  • Exposure to iterative development cycles and collaboration
  • Agile & SCRUM experience
  • Experience working in Microsoft Azure Cloud Technologies
  • Experience with Design Patterns and its capabilities
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written)
  • Strong team player and interpersonal skills
  • Willing to learn new technologies
  • Takes accountability and self-motivated
  • Quality deliverable adhering to acceptance criteria and definition of Done
  • Quality deliverable following design standards, coding standards and best practices, considering efficiency, re-usability, and optimization, avoiding duplications



The Office:
We have an office in one of the biggest cultural, economic, and educational centers in South India: Chennai. 

  • Located on OMR, the IT corridor of South Chennai
  • Easy access to Velachery, Thiruvanmiyur Railway station and bus stop 
  • Very close to Tidel Park, Ascendas, and SRP Tools – Holiday Inn  
  • Office provides lunch and snacks on all working days 
  • Office is situated behind Hotel Turyaa on the 5th floor of Rayala Techno Park
