As Head of Marketing – Europe, Middle East & Africa, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing all aspects of the marketing programs focusing on creating awareness, demand, and engagement related to Anthology’s products and services for both existing clients and prospects across EMEA. There is also a key focus on retaining our existing clients within this region. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Marketing, you will work closely with regional sales teams and the other members of the central marketing team to develop, align, and execute on go-to-market activities, pipeline contribution, and tracking the results of the marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate is a passionate, customer-centric marketer with the ability to create compelling messages for different target audiences. This person will employ marketing best practices, regional scalability, and develop further innovative ideas to drive Anthology’s demand in the region. To create the demand, the candidate will leverage marketing programs directly developed and launched locally and through participation in global campaigns.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Managing the EMEA annual marketing plan, working with the Senior Director of International Marketing, marketing colleagues, sales teams, and partners
• Working closely with the Vice President of Sales, EMEA and country managers to ensure marketing resources and activities are prioritized to support new business and retention targets
• Leading a team to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that cover various channels including digital, events, partnerships, direct mail, email, content, and more that deliver measurable ROI
• Leading, developing, managing, and executing all aspects of the marketing plan that is focused on creating demand and retention for Anthology’s products and services from both existing clients and prospects and developing further innovative ideas to drive Anthology’s business in the region
• Collaborating effectively with other teams to perform enablement activities, marketing automation, and full-funnel activities that nurture leads and promote closings
• Building and maintaining a close collaboration with the sales organization, including coordination of the development of regional specific marketing programs, follow-up activities, pipeline contribution, result tracking, and team communication
• Becoming fluent in the marketplace dynamics, client segment needs, roles, and personas and developing and helping to execute scalable marketing activities based on this client-centric and segmented approach
• Utilizing reports and analysis to support marketing key performance indicators such as lead generation, lead follow-up, and lead conversion
• Managing a team of marketing staff and occasional contracting staff across the region
• This role requires occasional travel

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

• University degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communication, or business
• At least 10 years of marketing experience working in B2B industry, tech vendor, or educational technology arena
• Proven track record of driving successful positioning and content strategy for marketing programs across multiple markets
• Strong planning and project management skills, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail-oriented, data-driven, and consistently meet deadlines
• Proactive communicator with a track record of strong teamwork and collaboration with all levels in an organization
• Experience managing and operating field events, customer conferences, and exhibitions
• Previous experience managing digital programs and campaigns
• Excellent writing, proof-reading, copywriting, and editing skills
• Ability to travel across the EMEA territory and globally as required

Preferred skills/qualifications:

• Prior education industry experience
