The Anthology Global Events Team is focused on conceptualizing and executing World Class events focused on a great and unique client experience as well as supporting business objectives.

 

 

As an Event Coordinator Intern on this team, you will support event logistics for the Annual Anthology Together User Conference (#AT23), taking place in July 17-20, 2023. Responsibilities will center around all types of pre- and on-site event logistics from assisting with special events, supporting program development and management, and process fulfillment activity.

 

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and execution of networking/activation areas and event activities at Anthology Together
  • Leading event gamification activities to help maximizing overall attendee engagement at Anthology Together
  • Supporting session and speakers’ deliverables and program alignment
  • Supporting sponsor fulfillment tasks to ensure successful partner participation at the event
  • Supporting work with brand assets, social media, digital media
  • This role will ideally travel to the conference destination over the approximate dates of July 15-21, 2023

 

 

Learning & Development:

The internship will provide a learning and development experience in the following areas:

  • Broad awareness of and hands on management of corporate event logistics
  • Coaching and development of email and in person communication skills with executives, key event stakeholders, and vendors
  • Technology: Cvent event management software solutions (registration management system, session management tool, mobile apps, AV & program integrations)
  • Large scale project management: managing cross organization teams/skill experience, event communications/processes using verbal, writing, public speaking, negotiation, developing project timelines, budgets, reporting

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree (at the time of the internship) in hospitality management, marketing, communications, or related field
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated exceptional communication skills
  • Solid business understanding – or ability and willingness to learn quickly
  • Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and multi-task in a highly dynamic environment
  • Familiarity with event management technology, preferably Cvent

 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Background in content/knowledge management, digital asset management, as well as with education related technologies
  • Event management or hospitality experience
  • Prior experience working in a professional setting
  • Familiarity with using social media tools and implementing tactics
  • Based in DC-Metro area

Starting rate is $22/hour depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
