Interim IT Support Technician

Boca Raton, Florida

 

 

Anthology’s Corporate IT organization manages the enterprise technology that supports our employees across the globe.  They are focused on enterprise applications development and support, enterprise architecture, operations, infrastructure, and support.  This team works with stakeholders from Student Success, Finance, Sales, HR, Marketing, and other internal business groups to drive initiatives and ensure needs are met. As an Interim IT Support Technician, you will support end user hardware and software and be primarily focused on previsioning new and used hardware for end users. You will be responsible for staying current with, learning, and applying new technologies as well as applying existing knowledge to ensure system reliability. You’ll need to be highly motivated and customer service focused.

 

 

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing shipments to include receiving new and returned equipment, preparing and packaging inventory for shipment, and delivery
  • Using technology to track and prepare orders to include production of shipping labels via FedEx software
  • Ensuring compliance with established internal and external operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Ensuring inventory is properly maintained in specific location
  • Inventorying, cleaning, and organizing equipment as received for readiness of redistribution maintaining minimum standard required
  • Providing professional customer service to internal and external customers, with the goal of reporting issues in a timely manner to escalate items for prompt resolution
  • Actively communicating (in-person, via phone or email) with Anthology leadership and team members to ensure timely communications as it pertains to timely deliveries

 

 

The Candidate:

Required skills/qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years old or over
  • Ability to work locally in our Anthology Corporate office in Boca Raton, Florida, specifically in our IT depot, a fast-paced environment
  • Good oral and written communication skills to learn processes and work steps efficiently and seek assistance promptly
  • Ability to work well with people at all levels of the organization and foster a great cooperative service attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
  • Available to work 1st and 2nd shift hours, overtime is expected
  • Detail-oriented with skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately
     

 

Preferred skills/qualifications:

  • Detail-oriented with skills and/or focused interest in materials management and logistics

 Pay rate is $18.00/hour. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
